The Omran White Cement Factory was established in 2023 with a daily production capacity of 500 tons of white and gray cement and ancillary products. The production and manufacturing of white cement are more complex compared to gray cement, as achieving a white color requires materials beyond limestone. Therefore, colored elements such as iron oxides, chromium, titanium, and manganese in the raw materials must be reduced to near zero. To achieve this, high-purity limestone and white kaolin, free of colored oxides, must be used.
The first step in cement production is preparing high-grade and high-quality clinker, which, through the firing process in the kiln, results in white clinker. It should be noted that in the subsequent stage, when the clinker is ground in the mill, a certain amount of gypsum is used to whiten and enhance the strength of the resulting product (cement).
